  Peter began piping at the age of thirteen in Manchester, UK.  He learnt in the Northenden Pipe Band, and later joined the Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force Pipe Band.  Peter played in both bands until he turned eighteen, where he then went on to play with Cullybackey Pipe band in Grade one.

  At the age of nineteen, Peter joined the British Army and served in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards for six years.  During this time, he attended the Army School of Bagpiping and Highland Drumming, played at various ceremonial events, played for members of the Royal Family including the Queen Elisabeth II. 
​This was all took place alongside his military career as a Jackal Driver, and later a Gunner.  Parallel to piping in the army, Peter also joined the Vale of Atholl in Grade 1 for a season, before joining the City of Discovery Pipe Band in Grade 2 for two seasons. 

  After Peter left the army, he moved to Germany.  He joined the Crest of Gordon and now helps teach the band.  In 2024, Peter joined the Uddingston Pipe Band, where the band won the Scottish Championships in Dumbarton. 

  Peter now lives contently in Germany with his fiancé. He is commited to help promote the Great Highland Bagpipe, Scottish and Irish Culture, and it's music in Europe.
